Q 1. Can I book tickets for travel starting from outside the Sri Lanka?

Q 2. Can I book tickets for someone else other than me?

Yes, you can book anytime a flight reservation for someone else even if you are not flying. In case of any verification or details required to the purchase one of our agent will contact you.

Q 3. How do I book an e-ticket?

Booking tickets through online is the most convenient way of travelling as it confirms your purchase of flight tickets without producing a hard-copy record. Since the carrier with which you will be travelling saves all your ticket data in its system, neither is the requirement to collect the paper ticket, nor is the fear of losing it. With your e-ticket you can straightaway proceed to the check-in-desk with a valid passport and a copy of the email confirmation sent by us confirming your itinerary. Q 4. How do I obtain a refund?

Refunds will only be provided by the airline or travel supplier in accordance with these terms and conditions. To apply for a refund please return your unused airline ticket and travel documents together with a covering letter to your consultant. Refunds may take up to 2-3 weeks, however it may take around 15-20 days to reflect in your account/credit card.

Q 5. How do I amend or cancel a booking?

To amend or cancel a booking made in-store or over the phone & online please email your consultant or call them on +94 11 4422400.Please note, some airfares are non-refundable and/or no changeable and/or airline charges /cancellation fees may apply. Please ask your consultant at time of booking.

Our Privacy Policy ensures your right to privacy. We will not share your information outside of Pepmytrip without your authority to do so.

Q 7. How long before my flight departure do I need to check in?

Please check in as per the following requirement:

International flights - Check-in at least 3 hours prior to departure. Please note that boarding begins 45 minutes prior to departure. Pepmytrip does not hold any liability whatsoever for your failure to arrive at the airport in time for your specified time resulting in you being unable to travel.

Q 8. What is my baggage/hand baggage/cabin baggage allowance?

Cabin and checked-in baggage allowance varies from airline to airline and it is also based on the destination you are travelling to. To find out the exact baggage allowance, please call our customer service at +94 11 4422400.

Q 9. Will I need a Visa or Transit Visa for my trip?

You may check your visa requirements by visiting the following websites which contain the most up to date information on visas, passport, health & travel advice for the travellers.

You may need a transit visa in case you have a connecting flight via a third world country. It is often a good idea to find out visa requirement by visiting the individual country pages on the Foreign & Commonwealth Office website. An up to date advice on immigration, visa & entry requirements may also be gathered by contacting the embassy, consulate or high commission of the destination. This is important for Sri Lankan citizens.
You are advised to ensure that your travel documentation is in order prior to departure. It is likely that you will be turned away at check in if you do not have the correct documentation, Furthermore, most countries will not allow you to enter on a one-way ticket without the relevant visa or documentation.

Q 10. Will I get charged for using a credit card?

Yes, there is a 2.5% charge if you pay by Master card, Visa card & 3% charge for American Express.

Q 11. Do infants require a ticket or seat?

Yes, infants (below 24 months old) need to be booked a flight ticket. This ticket should be booked from your agent if you need a SEAT for your infant. In that case, you will have to pay a child fare. This fare can be more/less than 70% of adult fare + taxes. However, if you do not need a seat for the baby and will prefer to carry her/him in your laps, you may pay infant fare (around more/less 10% of adult fare + taxes) either at the airport or at the time of reservation.

Q 12. How to make a group reservation?

The Group Reservation must be made in advance as obtaining seats on a particular date can be difficult. However airlines offer special cheap group flight fares. Special fares can only be availed by advance reservations. The booking can be made over the phone; however it is better to send names / passport numbers in email, in case of a larger group.

Q 13. How do I pay for my flights?

Payment can be made by cash, credit/debit card or bank transfers. Your consultant will advise you of which payment method is appropriate and the process involved. Credit/debit card conditions may apply.

Q 14. When will my credit card be debited?

Most bookings, the debit takes place at time of booking. Kindly ask your consultant if unsure.
